THE HOME OF PAXTON CELLAR DOOR IS THE HISTORIC LANDCROSS FARM
Paxton cellar door is conveniently located at the gateway to McLaren Vale. Housed in the original 1850’s shearing shed, cellar door is surrounded by luscious sprawling lawns and oozes both charm and character with historic stone buildings dotted around the site.
Cellar door offers visitors a relaxed tasting experience with a strong focus on our unique Organic and Biodynamic philosophy. Delight your taste buds and build your own regional platter, sit back and chill with glass of wine and enjoy our stunning views.

Cellar Door is open 7 days a week from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
Closed on Christmas Day and Anzac Day,
Tastings are available daily, walk-ins welcome.
Wine tasting experiences for groups of 5-15 people can be accommodated – bookings essential.

2010 Thamas Block chardonnay

Quandong Farm Shiraz
100% Single Vineyard Shiraz. 12 months in French oak. Colour: Hot flush. Aroma: Musk, boysenberry, and purple fruit straps, accented by fragrant notes of juniper, rosemary blooms, and a hint of sandalwood incense. Palate: Boysenberry, plum, and black cherry mingling with hints of savory spice and a subtle earthiness. Cellar: 20 years.

Jones Block Shiraz
A celebrated McLaren Vale single vineyard Shiraz, offering plum and dark blackberry aromas combined with a rich robust mouthfeel. A hint of vanilla and spice from lovely integrated French oak adds the finishing touch

Cracker Barrels
This limited release showcases beauty, harmony and elegance in a classic Australian Shiraz blend. Depth, complexity aged for 18 months.

EJ Shiraz
Our flagship limited release EJ Shiraz made from Shiraz vines planted in 1887. Delicate front exploding with a concentration of savoury fruit, supported by full, silky tannins unique to old vine wine.

55% Shiraz, 41% Grenache & 4% Mataro. 9 months in french oak. Colour: bright crimson red & pink. Aroma: forest fruits, raw coffee beans with a note of curry leaves and balsamic. Palate: intensity of fruit & spicy saffron. Cellar: 10 years plus.

CAB Cabernet Sauvignon
100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 7 months in French oak. Colour: bright red with amber. Aroma: sandalwood, mountain pepper leaf and wild berries. Palate: finely balanced between acidity, juicy berries, and elongated tannins. Cellar: 5 years.
